Как писать музыку на стихи

Песни могут писаться по-разному. Кто-то подбирает или сочиняет подходящий текст к готовой музыке, кто-то синхронизирует процесс создания музыки и текста, а кто-то накладывает готовые стихи на музыку. Большинство авторов предпочитает третий вариант как наиболее простой.

Выберите стихи, которые вы бы хотели положить на музыку. Текстом для песни может стать практически любое стихотворение, однако те, кто пробовал писать музыку на стихи, наверняка замечали, что какие-то тексты будто созданы для песен, а какие-то упорно не хотят ложиться на мелодию. Это если говорить о тех стихотворениях, которые не были изначально написаны в качестве текстов песен. Объясняется это довольно просто – поэзия во многом построена на законах музыки, и какие-то стихи более мелодичны и просты по ритмике, а какие-то – менее. В любом случае, выбрать вы можете то стихотворение, которое вам понравится, просто с некоторыми придется помучиться.

Прочитайте стихотворение от начала до конца несколько раз. Возможно, после этого к вам сразу придет нужная мелодия, а если нет, вы, как минимум, почувствуете ритм, настроение, динамику текста – музыка должна гармонировать со звучанием текста, «двигаться» так же, как «движется» текст.

Идеально, если вы владеете каким-либо музыкальным инструментом – гитарой, фортепиано и т.д. Это могут быть даже африканские барабаны – необычно, но интересно. Попробуйте взять несколько аккордов, подумать, в какой тональности будет песня. Напойте слова стихотворения, постарайтесь почувствовать, какая мелодия бы им подошла. Важный момент – записывайте все свои попытки на диктофон. Мелодии имеют одно нехорошее свойство – они очень быстро могут вылететь из головы, а вы потеряете навсегда хорошую песню.

Если музыкальными инструментами вы не владеете, попробуйте просто напеть мелодию, обязательно записывая попытки на диктофон.

Работа над песней может продолжаться пять минут, а может растянуться на дни, недели и месяцы. Будьте терпеливы и не останавливайтесь до тех пор, пока песня не покажется вам законченной. По окончании работы вы можете попросить кого-то из друзей или знакомых послушать ваше произведение и попросить помочь с аранжировкой и вокалом.

Некоторые композиторы считают, что достаточно взять уже готовую музыкальную тему и просто подобрать на неё подходящие стихи. Проблема в том, что подобрать стихи, которые идеально лягут на мелодию — дело хлопотное.

В моём творчестве случались такие удачи, но исключительно редко. Есть в этом подходе к сочинению песен некое насилие и искусственность. Можно втиснуться в пошитый не по меркам костюм, но он всё равно будет трещать по швам и причинять неудобство телу. Поэтому я понял, что лучше сочинять музыку к стихотворению с нуля, отталкиваясь от самого текста, чтобы он сам помог сформировать в твоей голове нужное настроение, ритм и мелодию.

Но даже в этом случае неизбежны потери. Поэт ведь обычно не думает о том, каково придётся композиторам, если они решат положить его стихи на музыку. Стихотворение может быть слишком длинным (как для песни) или, напротив, коротким, а количество строф — плохо вписываться в привычную схему «куплет-припев». Если же композитор проявит адское усилие и попытается в точности следовать излишне переменчивой и прихотливой лирике, то перейдёт в область экспериментальной музыки, слушать которую решится не каждый.

Однообразная мелодия тоже может быть утомительной, особенно, если стихи длинные и не очень содержательные. Нивелировать недостаток длинного текста можно несколькими способами.

Во-первых, сделать темп песни более быстрым.
Во-вторых, сделать музыку или аранжировку более разнообразной.
Наконец, самый простой способ — просто сократить оригинальный текст. Делать последнее надо вдумчиво и осторожно, чтобы не нарушить логику и содержание стихотворения.

Иногда текст будущей песни приходится не только сокращать, но и менять в нём местами строфы, чтобы правильно расставить акценты (например, строчки, которые вы считаете главными и ударными, помещать на припев).

Всё это я проделал со стихотворением Р. Л. Стивенсона «Вересковый Мёд»: и сокращал, и переставлял строфы, и даже немного изменил одну строчку. Так как из-за перестановки строф стало непонятно, кто же из персонажей говорит, я спел не «Голос его воробьиный», а «Голос карлика воробьиный». Замена не самая удачная, но другой вариант — «карлика глас воробьиный» — несмотря на фонетическую гладкость, был ещё хуже. Словечко «глас» звучало слишком старомодно-возвышенно, да ещё и на «глаз» было похоже. Пришлось пожертвовать благозвучием ради сохранения смысла. В итоге довольно длинную оригинальную балладу мне удалось уложить в три минуты с небольшим.

С короткими стихами дела обстоят ещё хуже. Конечно, можно написать на них такую же коротенькую музыкальную миниатюру, и выглядеть она будет очень самодостаточно и изящно. Но обычно такая песня не способна ни полноценно раскрыть творческий замысел музыканта, ни удовлетворить запросы слушателя. Последний, не успев «распробовать» песню, только разочарованно протянет: «И это всё?»

Проблему коротких текстов тоже можно решать по-разному. Самое простое, но не самое удачное — удлинить её за счёт музыкальных проигрышей. Также можно продублировать отдельные строфы (например, если стихотворение состоит всего из трёх строф, одну можно отвести под повторяющийся припев).

Хорошо, когда вы лично знакомы с автором. Тогда можно попросить его дополнить свой текст или получить разрешение самому дописать недостающие куплеты. Даже если дописанное вами будет в каком-то смысле «водой» и пересказом уже сказанного, в песне это может смотреться вполне органично. Главное здесь — осторожно, не выпячивая себя, стилизовать свой текст под оригинал и аккуратно его встроить.

Например, я осмелился собственноручно дополнить следующее стихотворение Сергея Аксёненко:

Ты пойми, что пространство
Нас вернуло назад.
Лишь на плоской полоске
Остановится взгляд.

Нас отбросило что-то,
И мы вновь на земле —
На распаханной почве,
На холодной земле.

Нас туда не пускали,
А мы сами пришли —
Ищут днищами скалы
В темноте корабли.

Ищет грудь острой стали,
Ищет грешниц монах —
Люди счастья искали
В золоченых гробах.

Не хотелось им к небу,
А хотелось к земле,
А хотелось под землю —
Под землёю теплей.

Для песни мне не хватало двух строф для второго куплета, и я досочинил следующее, пытаясь следовать логике оригинала:

Если ранена птица,
То её тянет вниз,
Всем хотелось зарыться,
Всем хотелось спастись.

Тяжело ходить прямо,
Не быть ниже нуля…
Гравитация — мама…
Мать — сырая земля…

Когда же я написал песню «Чернеющей бездне» на другие стихи Аксёненко, то мне пришлось изменить текст по совсем другой причине. Одна строфа, где поэт немного повольничал, категорически не вписывалась в размер песни — не хватало буквально двух слогов (обозначу эту недостачу как «бум»).

Отпелось, поблёкло — пора и тебе
Покинуть планету (бум),
Но только не верь в справедливость Небес —
Не будет ответа (бум).

В итоге я спел так:

Отпелось, поблёкло — пора и тебе
Покинуть пристанище,
Но только не верь в справедливость Небес —
Ты здесь и останешься.

Другое дело — если вы берёте классический текст и в духе постмодернизма обыгрываете его по-своему: наполняете новым смыслом, дописываете новые строчки (например, так я поступил со знаменитым стишком про Шалтая-Болтая).

Шалтай-Болтай сидел на стене.
Шалтай-Болтай свалился во сне,
Вся королевская конница, вся королевская рать
Не может Шалтая,
Не может Болтая,
Шалтая-Болтая,
Болтая-Шалтая,
собрать!

Они хотели взять его труп
И обтесать под мраморный куб.
«Всю жизнь качался? Хватит! Постой.
ШАЛТАЙ-БОЛТАЙ — НАРОДНЫЙ ГЕРОЙ!
Станешь ты плоским и твёрденьким,
Будто пенёчек в лесу,
А мы восхвалим бигбордами

Очень важно подобрать под каждый стих нужный темп и настроение. До сих пор помню, как услышал у какой-то русской группы песню на стих Р. Бернса «Джеми», где жалоба брошенной и желающей смерти девушки исполнялась так лихо и весело, что впору бы поменять текст на:

Ты меня оставил, Джеми?
Ну, и фиг с тобою!
Я тебе кредита, Джеми,
Больше не открою…

Моя версия песни на того же «Джеми» тоже может не нравиться (её вообще должна петь женщина), но эмоцию первоисточника я передал несомненно адекватнее.

Совершенно ложное впечатление об оригинальном стихотворении Арсения Тарковского создаёт и песня «Только этого мало» в исполнении Софии Ротару.

Меланхоличный текст поётся с такой эстрадной разухабистостью, что вообще нельзя понять, что хотел передать автор. Для контраста можно послушать, как читают это стихотворение в к-ф «Сталкер», снятом сыном поэта — Андреем Тарковским.

Наверное, глупо требовать, чтобы жанр песни обязательно резонировал с музыкой той эпохи, в которую жил поэт. Допустим, Александру Малинину весьма аутентично удалось озвучить стихотворение Есенина «Мне осталась одна забава» в жанре романса.

Но и песня панк-группы МОНГОЛ ШУУДАН «Москва» («Да, теперь решено без возврата…»), написанная на другой стих Есенина, тоже по-своему удачно отразила лирический и одновременно хулиганский дух оригинала.

Неплохо звучит и знаменитый «Мохнатый шмель…» из к-ф «Жесткий романс», стилизованный под цыганщину. Не каждый знает, что автором его слов является автор «Маугли» — Редьярд Киплинг. В оригинале стихотворение гораздо длиннее и написано привычным для Киплинга рубленым ритмом баллады. Но его очень сильно и при этом грамотно сократили. Поэтому музыкальное решение композитора Петрова не вызывает никакого «когнитивного диссонанса».

Насильно же втискивать стихи в какой-нибудь модный, но неподходящий им жанр не стоит. Мне всегда казалось, что стихи Заболоцкого «Не позволяй душе лениться» в исполнении группы КРУИЗ звучат очень нелепо. Можно, конечно, прохрипеть «Я помню чудное мгновение» гроулингом, но тогда всем должно быть понятно, что это откровенная пародия и стёб.

При этом те же стихи Маяковского про партию и Ленина, исполненные группой УЛЬТИМАТУМ в виде рэп-речёвки, могут показаться необычными, но никак не нелепыми.

Завершая разговор о песнях на чужие стихи, я бы хотел упомянуть об одной «фишке», которую, по-видимому, сам и изобрёл. Так как многие зарубежные стихи существуют в нескольких переводах, то этой возможностью грех не воспользоваться.

Например, если стих очень короткий, то песню можно удлинить, взяв в качестве второго куплета другую версию перевода. Или вообще склеить песню из разных переводов, выбрав отрывки, которые вам больше нравятся или которые лучше подходят к музыке (главное, чтобы эти отрывки не противоречили друг другу).

Например, я сочинял балладу на стихотворение Р. Бернса «Джон Ячменное Зерно», взяв за основу перевод С. Маршака, но в последнем припеве для разнообразия добавил кусочек из перевода Э. Багрицкого. А в «Песне Энтов» на стихи Д. Толкина вообще использовал три перевода — Муравьёва, Маториной и Воседого.

Короче говоря, автор песни может пользоваться любыми приёмами и формами, но только теми, которые помогают передать дух и посыл оригинального стихотворения. Чтобы с мелодией и текстом не получилось, как в пьесе Е. Шварца «Обыкновенное чудо»:

«Приходите к амбару, не пожалеете. Мне ухаживать некогда. Вы привлекательны, я чертовски привлекателен. Чего зря время терять?»

After working hard on perfecting your poems, you may wonder how you can take your poetic words and turn them into song lyrics. Many of the best song lyrics are full of poetic language and imagery, so your curiosity isn’t too far off. By adjusting the meter and structure, as well as the language and imagery of your poetry, you can set your words to song in no time. You may also find it helpful to use a catchy melody to turn your poetry into song lyrics.

Create eight to twelve line verses. Songs are structured into verses, similar to stanzas in poetry. Most songs have verses that are eight to twelve lines long. The lines in verses are usually short, no longer than eight to ten words. Break up your poetry into verses so it better reflects the structure of a song.
- You may need to add or remove words from each line of your poetry to make them into verses. Be open to changing the lines of your poetry as needed to make them into song lyrics.
- When you are creating the verses, use lines in your poetry that are easy to follow and understand. You can also rearrange words or lines in your poetry to form a verse.

Compose a short, repetitive chorus. Most song lyrics will include a chorus, which is usually six to eight lines long. The chorus will repeat after each verse in the song. It should contain the central idea or meaning of the song. Take the words in your poetry and create a chorus for the song that is short and uses several words over and over again.
- For example, you may take a longer line in your poetry like, “The wind screams by my window and I am alone in my childhood bedroom, trying not to look at the new moon” and break it up to create a chorus: “The wind screams by my window/I am alone/The wind screams by my window/I’m not looking/The wind screams/At the new moon.”
- The chorus of the song will usually contain the title of the song. You may use the title of your poem as inspiration for the chorus of the song.

Decide whether or not your song lyrics will rhyme. Not all song lyrics rhyme. In fact, many modern songs have no rhyme scheme at all. Maybe you decide to avoid rhyme because you want the freedom to use whatever words you want. Or perhaps you want your song to rhyme so it is more catchy for your listeners.
- If you decide to include rhyme in your song lyrics, you may simplify the rhyme scheme in your poetry so it is more casual and easy to follow. For example, if you have a poem where every second line rhymes, you may adjust it so only the first and third lines rhyme or only the second and fourth lines rhyme.
- If you are composing rap lyrics, you may decide to stick to a couplet rhyming scheme, where every two lines rhyme in the song.

Listen to songs that have been written by poets. Many songwriters are also known as poets who have written or published poetry. Listen to their songs and read their song lyrics to get a better sense of how they combine poetry with music. You may listen to:^[1]

Make the language simple and casual. With song lyrics, you want to connect to your listeners by using language found in casual conversation. If your poetry uses formal language like “O my dear love” or “Long was I lost on the high seas,” strip it down to make it more simple and casual for your listeners. Pretend you are talking to a friend or family member in your song lyrics.
- For example, if you have a line in your poem like “Alone I felt in a sea of people,” you may adjust it to, “I felt alone in a sea of people” or “Just me in a sea of people.”

Use imagery that creates an emotional response. Keep any poetic imagery that will give the listener a sense of the speaker’s emotions and feelings. Make sure the imagery uses sensory details, such as what the speaker is seeing, touching, tasting, hearing, and smelling.^[2]
- For example, you may have a line in your poem like, “I feel the ground/by the cemetery.” You may then adjust the line for song lyrics and make it, “The cool, hard ground/I feel it/By the cemetery/Where she died.”

Include details that are universal for listeners. A good song will connect with your listeners and make them think, “I’ve felt that before” or “I’m feeling like that right now.” Use details from your poetry that feel universal and relatable for your listeners.^[3]
- For example, maybe you have a detail in your poetry about how it feels for you to lose your best friend. You may then include these details in a song about your relationship about your best friend, discussing the relationship from your perspective.

Tell your listener a story. A good song will take the listener on a journey and explore an experience or moment in a detailed way. There does not necessary have to be a clear beginning, middle, and end in a song, like in a book. Instead, the song should explore the thoughts and feelings of the speaker on a specific subject or idea. Pull lines out of your poetry that tell your listener a story from a particular perspective.
- For example, you may notice that your poetry often explores the recent birth of your brother. You may then pull lines out of your poetry to write a song that tells the story of the joyous day your brother was born.

Find a melody you connect with. Create an original melody on guitar. Add drums, keyboards, or strings to flesh out the melody. You can also use a melody that has already been made and is available for use online. Find a melody that you find interesting or catchy.^[4]
- You may also choose a melody that fits the mood or subject matter of your poetry. For example, if your poetry is about isolation and sadness, you may pick a melody that is just guitar on its own to create a lonely, isolated sound.

Sing your poetry aloud to the melody. Notice if certain lines do not fit or go well with the melody. Underline or highlight lines or words that seem to fit. Get a feel for how your poetry sounds when sung along to the melody.^[5]

Каждый композитор пишет песни по-своему. Один будет искать или придумывать текст к уже имеющейся музыке, для другого процесс сочинения музыки и текста будет неразрывным, а третий предпочтет наложить готовые стихи на музыку. В основном авторы пользуются последним способом, так как он является более простым, чем остальные. Для написания музыки на стихи у вас должны быть:

стихи
какой-либо музыкальный инструмент
диктофон

1. Выбрать стихотворение. Вообще любые стихи могут быть текстом для песни, но тот, кто уже занимался написанием музыки, скорее всего, заметил, что некоторые тексты просто идеально подходят для песни, а некоторые совсем не желают лечь на мелодию. Объяснить это можно так – поэзия и музыка строятся по одним законам и получается, что одни стихи более мелодичные и простые, а другие – нет. В любом случае, можно выбрать те стихи, которые вам приглянулись, просто с некоторыми нужно будет посидеть подольше.

3. Было бы хорошо, если вы можете играть на инструменте, будь то фортепиано, гитара. Пусть это даже будут африканские барабаны – нестандартно, но вызывает интерес! Попытайтесь нащупать пару аккордов, поразмышлять, что за тональности лучше подойдут для вашей песни. Напойте слова и почувствуйте, сочетается ли мелодия со стихами. Важный момент – в процессе сочинения фиксируйте все идеи на диктофон, ведь мелодии способны неожиданно и навсегда вылетать из головы.

4. Для тех, кто не владеет игрой на инструменте: можно просто напеть сочиненную мелодию опять же с включенным диктофоном. Ваш процесс сочинения песни может длиться от нескольких минут до нескольких месяцев. Сохраняйте терпение и не бросайте сочинение до того момента, пока вы не почувствуете, что песня завершена. После окончания работы над ней можно попросить знакомых оценить ваше творение и помочь с аранжировкой и вокалом.

Подумайте о своей любимой песне. Что вы вспоминаете в первую очередь? Конечно, основную мелодию. Это важная и запоминающаяся часть композиции. Кажется, что придумать оригинальную мелодию крайне сложно, ведь бытует мнение, что в мире музыки уже все хорошие комбинации использованы. Действительно, сочинение мелодии – трудоемкий творческий процесс, но вовсе не невозможный! В данной статье мы расскажем о способах генерации новых идей и как написать музыку к песне, даже не имея музыкального образования.

Что такое мелодия?

Мелодия — это последовательность нот, сыгранных или спетых в музыкальном произведении. Простой мотив может состоять из одной музыкальной фразы – нескольких коротких нот и ничего более. Есть большое количество примеров сложных мелодий, подобных тем, которые вы слышите, например, в джазе.

Прежде, чем переходить к описанию приемов, остановимся на основных терминах, которые будут упоминаться. Если вы совсем новичок, эти простые определения помогут вам быстрее разобраться, о чем идет речь ниже.

Аккорд – одновременное звучание нескольких звуков разной высоты.

Тональность – привязка музыкального звучания (лада) к определенному участку мелодии.

Лад – система взаимоотношений звуков, создающая звуковой эффект.

Гамма – звуки лада, расположенные в порядке высоты.

Минор и мажор – виды ладов. Мажорный лад подходит для создания веселой и бодрой мелодии, минорный – для меланхоличных баллад.

8 способов написания запоминающейся мелодии

Мы немного разобрались в музыкальной теории. Пора узнать, как придумать мелодию, которая идеально ляжет на созданные стихи и полюбится слушателям.

№1. Создайте план

Многие композиторы предпочитают писать произведения в свободной форме, однако иногда последовательность лучше сказывается на продуктивности. Сначала определите тип создаваемой мелодии и музыкальную форму, т.е. распорядок частей и разделов. Можете составить графический контур.

Составьте примерный план будущей мелодии

Экспериментируйте: попробуйте сначала написать припев новой песни и в дальнейшем исходить от него. Подумайте, какой куплет и проигрыш лучше подойдут к созданному куску.

№2. Найдите вдохновение

Не бойтесь брать за референс любимые песни или популярные мелодии разных жанров. Это не означает, что вы можете полностью украсть чужое творение. Попробуйте проанализировать музыкальное произведение и понять, что сделало ее популярной. Позаимствуйте концепцию и примените ее к создаваемой композиции.

Еще один вариант – максимально измените готовую песню . Попытайтесь заменить все аспекты произведения на абсолютную противоположность – поменяйте тональность, перепишите аккорды в другой очередности. Загрузите трек на ПК в программу для создания музыки, проиграйте в обратном порядке, нарежьте куски из разных дорожек и смикшируйте. Трансформируйте произведение так, чтобы подогнать под свой уникальный авторский стиль.

№3. Подберите аккорды

Начните процесс написания с импровизации. Вы можете добиться прекрасных результатов простым перебором клавиш на пианино или гитарных струн. Запишите звук с помощью микрофона, чтобы в дальнейшем использовать в работе наиболее удачные сочетания аккордов и нот.

Не знаете, с чего начать писать музыку, а гитарный перебор не вдохновляет? Начните с мелодии из одного такта. Скопируйте его на вторую полосу и измените одну вещь. Это может быть плавный переход в другую ноту, незначительное скольжение высоты тона, изменение длительности. Продублируйте мелодию из двух тактов на третью и четвертую полосы. Измените некоторые аспекты. Теперь у вас есть небольшая мелодия.

Лучше всего использовать эту стратегию для мелодии с 4 или 8 барами. Следуйте личному вкусу – иногда может сработать и более длинные, и короткие вариации.

№4. Добавьте ритмические вариации

При написании мелодий важно уделить внимание ритму . Ритмическая последовательность нот придает мелодиям особую вибрацию и характер. Вы можете управлять им, размещая ноты по горизонтальным дорожкам в программе для создания музыки на ПК.

Не бойтесь экспериментировать с ритмикой мелодии

Чтобы создать мелодию по ритму, используйте синкопу – ритмическое смещение. Оно изменяет ноты по образцу, который отклоняется от обычного ожидаемого ритмического рисунка. Благодаря этому песня становится неординарной и отличается от подобных композиций того же жанра. Данный прием привлечет внимание слушателей, ожидающих развитие песни по привычному образцу.

№5. Используйте MIDI-клавиатуру

Импровизация на клавишных – лучший способ подстегнуть воображение. Но как сочинить мелодию на фортепиано самому, если вы не особенно хорошо играете на этом инструменте? Используйте MIDI-клавиатуру или подберите мелодию на синтезаторе.

По максимуму задействуйте возможности синтезатора при сочинении мелодии

Транспонируйте MIDI-информацию (например, аккорды или бас) на ля минор или до мажор (только белые клавиши). Зациклите ее на пять минут, нажмите запись и начните импровизировать.

Поиграйтесь с мелодическими идеями. Когда закончите, прослушайте запись. Вы можете обнаружить в нагромождении звуков идеи, которые подойдут для новой песни.

№6. Используйте MIDI-паки

Не знаете, как сочинить мелодию на гитаре, когда идей совершенно нет? Скачайте специальные MIDI-пакеты. Это готовые музыкальные сэмплы, на основе которых можно построить музыкальную композицию. Вы не сможете создать из этих отрывков полноценную песню, но они могут дать толчок для оригинальной идеи.

Многие ди-джеи и начинающие композиторы пользуются ими, поэтому лучше не вставлять их в песню без изменений. Измените тональность по ритму остальных инструментов в песне, отрегулируйте высоту, измените длительность некоторых нот.

№7. Отложите инструменты

Отложить в сторону инструменты и создать вокальную партию – отличный способ сочинить мелодию на стихи. Это хорошее упражнение, чтобы снять творческий блок и подстегнуть креативность. Прочитайте готовые строчки и попробуйте подобрать к тексту песни мелодию, пропевая их в различных вариациях.
