Clarins is a family-run French multinational cosmetics company, which was founded in Paris in 1954 by Jacques Courtin-Clarins.[1] In addition to manufacturing and selling cosmetics, skincare and perfume products, the company is also a major player in the spa and well-being sector.

Clarins operates in over 150 countries and is available at high-end department stores and selected retailers[2] with the Clarins and My Blend brands, and is a major luxury skincare brand in Europe.[3] Although more than 95% of its products are exported worldwide, they are formulated and designed in Clarins Laboratories in France.

Significant milestones in the history of Clarins:

  • 1954: Jacques Courtin-Clarins opens his first Beauty Institute on Rue Tronchet in Paris.[4]
  • 1968: Clarins creates its Client Card,[5] which is included in the packaging of Clarins skincare products.
  • 1974: Christian Courtin-Clarins joins the company as Director of Exports.[6]
  • 1984: Clarins is listed on the secondary market of the Paris stock exchange, which is a real development opportunity for the company.[7]
  • 1991: Clarins launches its first makeup collection as well as a line of products with an anti-pollution complex.[8]
  • 1994: Olivier Courtin-Clarins joins Clarins as a board member after a successful medical career.[9]
  • 2002: Clarins launches the ClarinsMen range for men.[10]

The Courtin Arthritis Foundation[edit]

Founded by Jaques Courtin Clarins in 1989, this association made it possible to further the research efforts for polyarthritis and chronic inflammatory rheumatism. Also, the foundation is responsible for many of the major advances in rheumatoid arthritis research.[18]

ивС названиями марок косметических средств часто бывают серьезные проблемы. К сожалению, не только у нас, мейкапманьяков, но даже и у консультантов. По своему примеру могу сказать, что я жутко нервничаю, когда не знаю, как правильно произносится название новой иностранной марки и вынуждена прибегать к различным шифровкам во избежание общественного позора и порицания. Для таких же перфекционистов во всем я составила небольшой бьюти словарик ударений и особенностей произношения самых сложных бьюти брендов.

А идея этой статьи пришла в голову, когда я смотрела на тюбик крема для рук. Как только не называют Garnier в России. Самая общеупотребительная форма гарниер, и это несмотря на многомиллионные рекламные тв-ролики, где очень четко выговаривают название бренда. Правильно говорить гарньЕ.

А теперь по странам-производителям.

лолитаФранция. Здесь хоть с ударением всегда легко, на последний слог.

Comme des Garcons — комм дэ гарсОн

Clarins — правильно кларАнс, хотя все уверенно говорят кларинс, и ничего с этим не поделать. По-моему, даже сам бренд смирился.

Chloe — клоЭ

Darphin — дарфАн. Марку, как и Clarins, вечно называют дарфином, а это неверно.

Dior Homme — диОр Ом.  

Ermenegildo Zegna — труднопроизносимое эрмэнеджИльдо зЭнья.

Givenchy — живаншИ, а не ДЖиванши. 

Guerlain — герлЕн, частенько коверкают на герлейн, брр.

Lanvin — самая популярная ошибка в произношении, как ланвин. Правильно ЛанвАн, на худой конец ланвЭн, как подобает на французский манер говорить в нос. 

La Prairie — все просто — ля прерИ

Lolita Lempicka — ЛолИта ЛемпИка. Я слышала от подруги весьма нецензурную версию.

L`Occitane  тоже часто достается. Я слышала варианты локсите, локинте и зачем-то лашанте, а правильно лёкситАн или локситАн.

Payot — пайО, без произношения t. 

Rochas — РошА, а не рошАс, как хочется и просится.

Sisley — сислЕ, а не сислей на американский манер. 

Yves Saint Laurent — тоже частая ошибка в произношении, как Ив СенТ Лоран, никакой Т, правильно Ив Сэн ЛорАн. 

Van Cleef & Arpels — длинно и трудно Ван клиф энд АрпЭл.

боббиАмериканские бренды

Bobbi Brown — эту марку произносят часто правильно бОбби брАун, а пишут с завидной регулярностью как Bobby Brown. Зовут визажиста Bobbi, и она женщина, что вообще сюрприз для многих неискушенных. 

Carolina Herrera — КаролИна ЭррЭра. Херрера даже звучит неприлично.

Clinique — элементарно клинИк.

DKNY — если аббревиатура, то ди кей эн уАй, если расшифровать, то дОнна карАн Нью-Йорк.

Estee Lauder — эстЭ лАудер

Essie — коротко Эсси

O.P.I. — опиАй, а не опи

Orly — орлИ, а не орлай. Мама родная.

С итальянскими марками дела обстоят немного лучше:

Bvlgari — бУлгари, булгари, булгари! Не болгари, балгары, болгары тут вообще неповинны.

Collistar — также, как и пишется, коллистАр

Moschino — москИно, много раз слышала Мошино. 

Nouba — НУба

Pupa — пУпа, она и в Африке пупа.

Японские марки:

Issey Miyake — любимая парфюмерия от иссЭй миЯки

Kenzo — этот бренд нужно называть отрывисто и резко, как пощечину, кензО!

Shiseido — на удивление сИсейдо, хотя многие говорят шисЭйдо, этот вариант также допустим.

И лично для меня шок дня

M.A.C. — произносится как МЭК, для меня это тоже было причиной для грусти на целых полчаса.

Мы собрали 25 известных названий брендов, в произношении которых россияне часто допускают ошибки. Запоминай, как говорить правильно! Ведь это не только грамотно звучит, но еще и показывает твое уважение к марке и создателям украшений, косметики и одежды, о которых многие мечтают.

Lanvin — Ланва́н. И это, пожалуй, самая частая ошибка всех россиянок — произносить французские названия точно так же, как они пишутся.

Balmain — Бальма́н

Bvlgari — говорим не так, как пишем! Бу́лгари.

Burberry — кажется, не все видели рекламу бренда, в которой модели отчетливо повторяют «Бёрберри». Как только у нас не называют эту марку — и «Барберри», и «Бюрберри». Не надо так!

Bottega Veneta — Боттега Ве́нета, а многие ставят ударение на среднем слоге второго слова.

Cacharel — Кашарэ́ль

Chloé — Клоэ́

Christian Louboutin — нет-нет, вовсе не «Лубутены», как многие привыкли говорить! Запоминай правильный вариант произношения — Кристиан Лубута́н.

Dsquared2 — Дискуэ́ирт. Согласись, очень сложно.

Ermenegildo Zegna — Эрменеджильдо Зе́нья. Хотя можно говорить и просто Зе́нья — знатоки поймут.

Estée Lauder — Эстэ Ло́удер, как бы ни хотелось заменить о на а.

Givenchy — Живанши́

Hermès — Эрме́с

Hublot — Юбло́

Jacquemus — на самом деле ничего сложного: Жакмюс. И, по традиции, с ударением на последний слог.

Loewe — Ло́ве. А не как у Дорна «Лова-Лова»!

Louis Vuitton — Луи Вьютто́н. Хотя где-то в глубине души мы с тобой согласимся, что Витто́н произносится удобнее.

Maison Margiela — признаемся, тут мы и сами долго путали. На самом деле читается вот так: Мэзо́н Маржела́.

Philipp Plein — ох, сколько же в свое время интернет смеялся над экс-участником «Дома-2» Антоном Гусевым, который не догадывался, как сильно коверкает имя немецкого дизайнера! И ты тоже произноси правильно — Филипп Пляйн.

Rochas — Роша́, без буквы с на конце.

Vetements — Ветмо́

Yves Saint Laurent — Ив Сен-Лора́н, отметаем максимум букв с конца слов.
